Why This Work Exists
That surface isn't going to prepare itself!
I didn’t set out to do this work.
For most of my adult life, I was focused on building things—first decorative concrete projects, then great teams to do that work, then better systems of scheduling, finance and inventory management, and finally a life that could support a family and honor God. I spent decades in environments where responsibility was real, consequences were real, and nobody was particularly interested in my thoughts if the work didn’t get done well.
Along the way, I noticed something that became impossible to ignore.
The right mindset conquers all, and few people are building theirs well. In fact, there are forces at work eroding mindsets in our culture (maybe just entropy - maybe something more coordinated and sinister from a rival nation).
So, this site exists because I think I may have stumbled across some profound truth, and since it made my life much better, I reckon it could improve yours.
As you learn what I’m all about at the core, you might realize your team could benefit from one of my talks. Maybe you realize if your team was deeply motivated intrinsically - not hyped up, but with great integrity they were doing great work for the joy of doing great work, your team would be unstoppable in the marketplace.
Even Jesus’s talks didn’t hit in his hometown though. That’s why flying me in makes sense. Your people will be quoting my talks for years, and it might be largely what you’ve been trying to get across since you hired them.
I believe men want to do meaningful work. I believe most want to carry weight, not avoid it. And I believe that a voice from outside the organization can impact them more deeply than one they are used to. So, I’ve spent some serious time and energy becoming that voice.
So my work focuses on the upstream issues:
how responsibility is framed
how authority is exercised
how meaning is attached to work
and how men are formed, not just managed
I don’t offer motivation.
I don’t offer therapy.
And I don’t offer hollow ideology.
I offer clarity, discipline, and a return to first principles—grounded in lived experience, honest conversation, and a conviction that men are capable of more than modern systems often expect of them.
If that resonates, you’ll probably know what to do next.
